Abstract
The purpose of this study is to find out the correlation between cognitive function and daily performance level according to the degree of neglect through KA-NAP for patients with Neglect.
The subjects of the study are 18 patients with stroke in the right hemisphere The subjects were tested for KF-NAP, LOTCA-G, MBI, and MMSE-K. The correlation analysis of Spearman by item was performed with the measured values.
The analysis results between the KF-NAP total score and LOTCA-G showed a correlation in the spatial perception, attention (p<.05), and visuomotor organization (p<.01). Analysis between KF-NAP total score and K-MBI showed a correlation in personal hygiene and dressing (p<.05), bowel/bladder control, and total score of K-MBI (p<.01).
The analysis results between the neglect severity of KF-NAP and LOTCA-G showed a correlation in the visuomotor organization and attention (p<.05). Analysis between neglect severity of KF-NAP and K-MBI showed correlation in dressing, bowel/bladder control, and wheelchair (p<.05).
Neglect by KF-NAP evaluation was correlated with spatial perception, visuomotor organization, and attention among cognitive functions. In relation to these cognitive functions, neglect patients showed correlations in dressing, bowel/bladder control, and personal hygiene, which required symmetrical and spatial activities during the daily performance.
